How Type B sees Type AB
To a Type B, Type AB is the person who doesn't flinch at the weird idea. Most people humour B and change the subject. AB engages — takes the strange premise seriously, then sharpens it. For B, whose ideas usually die of politeness, that's the whole appeal.
How Type AB sees Type B
To a Type AB, Type B is energising and refreshingly free of social debt. B doesn't require AB to be warm on schedule, doesn't read a quiet week as rejection, and turns up with something genuinely new. AB's analysis needs raw material, and B is a supply of it.
What works
Creatively this is the strongest pairing on the chart. B generates, AB selects and structures, and neither one is trying to make the other more normal. The conversation is the point — plans are downstream of it, if they happen at all.
Where it breaks
Nobody handles logistics. B starts things and drifts; AB thinks about things and doesn't start them. The rent gets paid late, the trip never gets booked, and the brilliant project has no version two. It fails from lack of friction, not excess.

- Dating — Fun, unconventional, occasionally chaotic. Both need to be genuinely known rather than accommodated — and here they are.
- At work — A great ideas pair and a poor delivery pair. Pair them with a Type A or a calendar with teeth.
